Just likemany other treks in Meghalaya, a trek to the double-decker living root bridges of Nongriat is an experience like no other.The journey is as good as the destination, as they say. You will walk through lush green vegetation, and tinyKhasi villageshidden deep in the hills, and stroll through hanging bridges, some new while some really old.
Pristine, emerald water-bodies will keep you company almost all through your walk.If you enjoy swimming, do not forget to bring your swimwear with you, you will need them when you find the kid inside you unable to hold back from jumping in the turquoise-blue natural pools.

On the last day of your trip, check out from your homestay after breakfast and drive straight to the Dawki, to witness the crystal clear waters of the Umngkot river at Dawki (this is not possible during the monsoon season as the water is muddy). You can go boating (not included) on the river andboatto Ziro Point, where India and Bangladesh meet.
From there drive down straight to Guwahati to catch your flight back home :-).
